Spotify AI Suggested Playlist!

A suggested Spotify playlist full of great Boomy-generated songs was brought to you by Nevin Portillo and Karina Arellano. This was built on top of the Spotify 4 Unity Package made by JoshLmao https://github.com/JoshLmao/Spotify4Unity

How was it made?

Karina Arellano worked on the UI Revamp to match the current desktop Spotify (2023). She used tools such as Photopea to create new UI icons. She created the new tabs called Create AI and View AI Playlist as well as UI content inside them. Her goal was to match the aesthetic to the rest of the UI.  As for the AI-generated songs she used Boomy  https://boomy.com/. A total of 3 genres were made with 10 songs in each. These genres include Electronic Vaporwave, Lofi Morning, and Reggaeton.  She was able to mess with the composition and production to match the genre better. These songs are now available to download below.

Nevin Portillo worked on the AI Playlist Generator and integration of JoshLmao's Spotify 4 Unity. They created the AI Playlist Generator from scratch, which takes a catalogue of songs, runs them through various filters depending on the parameters put into the Create AI Playlist tab, then randomly selects the passable songs to put into the View AI Playlist tab. These parameters include: playlist song count, playlist length, min/max BPM (beats per minute), min/max decibels, strict inclusion (whether or not the generator will continue adding songs after running out of passable songs), genre, and tags. Each song also has these properties which the generator can compare to the parameters chosen.
